"Sebab Kartun, Badan Binasa": Not Another Jyllands-Posten Controversy Post!

Not going into details and the debate of the controversy as you could read all about it here, here, here and most comprehensively here.

So, The Wise Man has finally broken his silence again (notice his trend of letting the hoo-haa for a few days first and then come out from nowhere to voice his opinion?).

Apparently, some groups were too eager for some media opportunity but not getting the facts correct first.

Meanwhile, in KOTA BAHARU, the Malaysian Indian Muslims Congress (Kimma) today called on the Jyllands-Posten daily in Denmark to apologise to Islamic countries for having published the caricatures.

Its national president, Amir Amsaa Alla Pitchay, said in a statement faxed to the Bernama bureau there that the caricatures were published with evil intention and disregard for the sensitivities of Muslims.

Er...hellooo...have you read the statement by JP yet?

In our opinion, the 12 drawings were sober. They were not intended to be offensive, nor were they at variance with Danish law, but they have indisputably offended many Muslims for which we apologize.

The things I know behind all this controversy are:

Thou shalt not depict.
Thou shalt not touch.
Thou shalt not discuss.
Thou shalt not satire.
Thou shalt not joke.
Thou shalt not...question.

Oh, for those who wonder, I still LOVE Denmark! They promote breast-feeding on wall murals!
