Mahathir Confirms Political Comeback?

UPDATED: The phrase 'bertanding' (contesting) could be very misleading. He is contesting to be a one of the 7 normal delegates from the Kubang Pasu UMNO division to the General Assembly (where the keris is normally waved) come this November. Normally, every UMNO division will send 11 delegates to the assembly, with 4 automatically qualified for it, i.e. the Chief, Youth's Chief, Wanita's Chief and Puteri's Chief. The incumbent Chief for the Kubang Pasu division is Datuk Mohd Johari Baharom, who is also the Deputy Internal Security Minister.

Nevertheless, the message is still the same: He is definitely making a political comeback, unless someone sacks and bars him from rejoining UMNO.

Yes, it seems. He will be contesting as for a representative for Umno Kubang Pasu come November party elections. From Malaysiakini:
