My First Ever Blogger's Meet and Thanks To KJ!
* KJ= Kean Jin, not that KJ.
Was in Finland a few days ago for a short Christmas/New Year vacation and managed to have my first ever blogger's meet, with who else if not with the one and only most famous blogger in Finland, Kean Jin!
Yes, Howsy really exists. To prove that we met, here's a heavily cropped picture of us having lunch at an (ammended:ex-) Malaysian-owned Chinese Restaurant in Turku.
Yes, the hunky one is me.
There you go. I will try to be less anonymous and open up (not literally!) a bit (not to the extent of cam-whoring like some femes bloggers) in the year 2007, fingers crossed. Happy now? Now, don't go and bug and interogate him for my information, will you?
The beautiful (but very cold) Turku is the oldest city in Finland, founded in 1200s and also the former Swedish capital.
The banks of River Aurajoki.
The Turku Cathedral.
More pictures of Turku and other parts of Finland in my latest travel blog, The Sensintravelert, hopefully.
I had the benefit of getting to know KJ due to the UPM mob video incident, which he claims that it still generates quite a number of traffic for him. I just sent a few e-mails to him if he could put me up for a night while I'm backpacking Finland and he kindly agreed! While I was there, he was also kind enough to spend me dinner (and a couple of beers at his place....). I really have to thank him for his hospitality while I was there.
Not many know that KJ is the only Malaysian post-graduate researcher in Turku (theSun should conduct an interview with him, eh?), let alone the existance of Turku, as there are not many Malaysians in Finland. Its capital, Helsinki, only came up when our Pak Catit-Buku-Hitam was there last year for god-knows-what. Oh, did I mention that Finland is also famous for its yachts?
I wonder if there's a yacht by the name of Cobra there...
Go pay him a visit in Turku (if he doesn't mind) while supporting and commenting on his blog, 4896 and Journeying.
So, you want to meet up when I'm back (soon)?
