Trip To KL (Part 4 Final): KLCC and MINES Area

Continuing from the previous part, here's something afresh besides politics.

From Bukit Bintang, walked all the way to KLCC (it's not really that far, again) and anyone would be delighted sighting this greatest phallic symbol of Malaysia the ex-tallest building in the world.

Ah, Suria KLCC...where all the fuel-hike protests began...

This is the only M&S in Malaysia...

And this is one of the ubiquitous M&S in the UK...

The design of the Suria KLCC is magnificient...

Finally ended up at the intended destination- the PC Fair at the KL Convention Centre at KLCC. They were so kind to put up warning signs against pickpockets...

And here's the PC Fair finally. Wasn't too crowded on the first day, so it was quite a pleasant browsing and managed to get the single gadget that I wanted.

They even had a booth set up to encourage those socio-political apathy geeks to register to vote...

The crowd overflew to the courtyard of the KL Convention Centre...

Time was up and I had to travel to Serdang to put up at my friend's place. Was surprised they even had ushers and dividers at the Putra KLCC station to direct the crowd to line up...

Reached KL Sentral for an exchange to board KTM Komuter to Serdang...

But the crowd was horrible. It was so terribly hot and humid and I had to wait almost an hour to board a sardine-can coach to Serdang...

Managed to snap a few shots and guess what they have for the time-table...

Can't complain much! This Is Malaysia (TIM)! Give people RM200 and a sewing machine and they'll vote for this kind of same system. Syabas!

And this was the MINES Shopping Fair the next day. Went out as early as 9 am (as my friend had to work on a Saturday!) ...

...and mingled around the shopping centre till...er...almost noon before meeting up with the rest of the BUM 2007 committee.

And that was just only Day 1! Day 2 was mostly meeting up the BUM gang and former classmates at MidValley.

That marks the end of my trip to KL. If you've missed it, check out these other parts:
