6 Malaysians nabbed in Cambodia for disrupting flight
First Posted 21:47:00 03/28/2008
PHNOM PENH -- Six drunken Malaysian men were arrested and set to be deported from Cambodia on Friday, after they shouted at flight attendants and scared passengers on a flight from Kuala Lumpur, officials said.
The six men were arrested as soon as the AirAsia Airbus A320 landed in Phnom Penh, airport police chief Chhour Kimny told Agence France-Presse.
"They are drunk and demanded services that air hostesses don't provide. They made trouble on board the flight," he said.
"They used a loud voice and had a verbal conflict with the air hostesses. They acted improperly and caused chaos among the passengers," he said.
A top immigration official told AFP the six would be deported from Cambodia soon.
It was not immediately known how many passengers were on board.

Zaid's apology to judges proposal rejected by Cabinet colleagues
"I have presented my view that the government should apologise to Tun Salleh (Abbas) and the judges. Well, I am afraid the view has yet to be considered. There are many people who are more experience and wiser than me. So, we have to wait. I don't think I want to add anything more to this," he said after chairing his ministry's first post-cabinet meeting today. Zaid did not go into details.
Asked whether it was former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad or the present government under Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi who should apologise to the judges, Zaid replied: "You can't expect (Dr) Mahathir to apologise. That government is gone. Karpal (Singh) is just being naughty."
Karpal, who is also DAP chairman, said it was not the present administration that convened the tribunals but Dr Mahathir who must apologise.
Zaid said the apology was something "we can do if we want to, but it is up to the leaders (to decide)."
He cited the case of the Australian Government under prime minister Kevin Rudd who had apologised to the Aborigines for racially discriminatory policies when Rudd won the election recently.
Reforms not fast enough? Or just there's none to begin with?
When The Star publicized that they were going to create a section 'Get To Know Your MPs/ADUNs' last week, I was expecting them (can anybody actually expect anything out of the Malaysian MSM) to
Well, all they did was posing a series of templated trivial questions (probably via e-mail interview), not unlike the silly blog meme that you and I got but did not bother to answer all the time. Questions include 'What is your fahverite kahler', 'What is your fahverite ahnimel' to 'Who is your idol' (*wink*wink* bodek opportunity to state your party president).
My MP in the Star Two section.
My ADUN in the Star Metro section.
What humble roots, you may ask? Is it from 'rags-to-
No. It turns out to be that not using the computer and singing only Negaraku and UMNO song = humble roots.
The only thing they short of asking is 'How many times do you boink a week' (CSL must know that answer well). But seriously, what has your MP's/ADUN's ability to sing or choice of tea or coffee has to do with how well he/she could serve your constituent well?
p.s. To get a taster on how the major advertisers like GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd are feeding the hungry MSM liars, this is it:
Peru's ex-president Fujimori falls asleep during his murder and kidnapping trial
The Associated Press
LIMA, Peru: The judge in Alberto Fujimori's murder and kidnapping trial is not amused by the former president's struggle to stay awake.
"Mister Fujimori!" Judge Cesar San Martin called out Monday, ringing his bell, after a prosecutor noted Fujimori was asleep at his desk during the testimony of a former army officer.
Fujimori didn't respond.
"He's still sleeping!" San Martin observed, ringing the bell again.
"Mister Fujimori, you were sleeping. Do you have a health issue or are you just tired?" the judge asked.
"I'm exhausted," Fujimori responded lethargically. "The past few days my legs have been numb."
The judge offered medical attention, but Fujimori refused and the hearing continued.
The former president faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted of authorizing a military death squad that killed 25 people in the early 1990s who were suspected of being rebel collabators. He denies knowing about the death squad or ordering a dirty war against leftist rebels.
The trial began in December and has continued three days a week, with a two-hour lunch break.

SEPANG, March 23 (Bernama) -- The appointment of Kijal assemblyman Datuk Ahmad Said as the new Menteri Besar of Terengganu is unconstitutional, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
"Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh (who was slated for the post) commands majority support (among the elected representatives). This has not changed.
"As such, the appointment of any other person to the post is unconstitutional," Abdullah said when asked to comment on the action by 22 Terengganu Barisan Nasional assemblyman in the state who have protested Ahmad's appointment to lead the state.
Earlier, Abdullah had witnessed the 2008 Petronas Formula One Grand Prix held at the Sepang Circuit here, Sunday. He had also presented the winner's trophy to the race's winner, Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro's Kimi Raikkonen.
The Kijal assemblyman received the letter of appointment as the new Terengganu Menteri Besar from the state's Regency Advisory Council at a closed-door meeting at Istana Tetamu in Kuala Terengganu this morning.
The date for his swearing-in, however, had yet to be fixed.
On today's race, Abdullah said the success of the BMW Sauber team in attaining second place was something to be proud of.
"I want to congratulate the BMW Sauber team for the achievement...it is only a matter of time before they emerge world champions," he said.
He also praised the role Petronas led by its president Tan Sri Hassan Marican played in the team's development. Petronas is a premium sponsor of the BMW Sauber team.
BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica of Poland finished second in the race behind Kimi Raikkonen of the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro team. Vodafone Mclaren Mercedes' Heikki Kovalainen came in third.

Ministry To Set Up Blog To Be Close To Youths
BERA, March 23 (Bernama) -- The Youth and Sports Ministry will have its own blogsite soon in an effort to be close to and interact with the nation's youths. Its minister, Datuk Ismail Sabri Yaacob said the move was made in view of the popularity of blogs among youths as a channel of information.
He said the existence of blogs should not be taken lightly as they had been effective in influencing voters to vote for the opposition in the recent general election.
"If we continue to rubbish the blogs, I am worried that it will one day take over the role of the mainstream newspapers," he told reporters after a function to celebrate his appointment as Youth and Sports Minister at the Rakan Muda Complex, near here, Saturday night.
He said the ministry's blogsite, to be created in accordance with the needs of youths, would be light and easy. Ismail Sabri said the ministry would also study the status of youth organisations in the country, many of which were weak and in a state of malaise, after meeting up with the leaders this Tuesday.
"Perhaps these youth organisation have modules which are no longer in tune with current developments and the needs of youths today.
"Possibly this is also why more than 70 percent of the country's youths are not interested in joining youth organisations."
He said the ministry, therefore, needed to find a new approach to bring change so that youths were keen to be members of such organisations.
"We must remember that social ills involving youths are usually attributed to factors outside the home, but today these are also found within the home environment like the misuse of the Internet," he added.
Yes, he was the same one who came out with this statement:
"We notice that a lot of bloggers have been sowing the seeds of discord among the races, religions... I believe there must be a limit," he said in a debate on the royal address in the Dewan Rakyat here today.
I'd say come up with an English version of your website first. Then only talk about blogs.

KUALA TERENGGANU, March 23 (Bernama) -- State Assemblyman for Kijal Datuk Ahmad Said Sunday received the letter of appointment as the new Terengganu Menteri Besar from the Regency Advisory Council (MPPR) at a closed-door ceremony at Istana Tetamu, here this morning.
Kijal State Assemblyman Datuk Ahmad Said accepting the letter of appointment from the head of the Council, Tengku Sri Panglima Raja Tengku Baderulzaman.
Ahmad, 51, received the letter of appointment from the head of the Council, Tengku Sri Panglima Raja Tengku Baderulzaman, witnessed by two other members of the Council, Tengku Sri Laksamana Raja Tengku Sulaiman Sultan Ismail and former Federal Court Judge, Datuk Abdul Kadir Sulaiman.
Meanwhile, Terengganu palace official Mohd Yasim Awang told Bernama that the date for the swearing in of the new Menteri Besar, however, had yet to be fixed.
The ceremony this morning was also attended by six members of the Dewan Pangkuan Diraja (Royal Regency Council), State Secretary Datuk Mokhtar Nong, State Legal Advisor Mohamad Sekeri Mamat and Chief Police Officer Datuk Ayub Yaakob.
The ceremony, which was held under tight security with policemen maintaining order outside the palace grounds, started at 8.20 am and ended about eight minutes later.
Ahmad, who is also the Kemaman Umno division head, was seen entering the palace at 7.25 am escorted by Ayub, and left the palace about 8.45 am in a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
All members of the media, except for the photographer and cameraman from the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama), were prevented from entering the palace to cover the event.
Journalists tried to get a response from Ahmad after the event but failed to contact him.
Earlier, 22 Barisan Nasional (BN) state assemblymen led by the secretary of the State Umno Liaison Body, Datuk Rosol Wahid, who opposed the appointment of Ahmad as the Terengganu Menteri Besar in place of Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh, arrived at Istana Tetamu about 7.50 am to hand over the letter of protest on the appointment.
Rosol, who was not allowed to enter the palace, later handed over the letter to the Secretary of the Terengganu Regency Advisory Council, Shafie Ali.
When met by reporters, Rosol said the letter, among other tings, stated that all the 22 BN elected representatives fully supported the reppointment of Idris as the Menteri Besar and rejected Ahmad's appointment as the new MB.
"Our support for Datuk Seri Idris is unanimous. There is no other person qualified to hold the Menteri Besar's post apart from him (Idris)," Rosol said.
He said Ahmad's appointment was invalid and hoped that those involved would take a serious view on the matter as it involved the interest of the people in the state.
He said if Ahmad were to proceed with his intention to take the oath of office as Menteri Besar, the Kijal Assemblyman would be violating the party rules and action could be taken against him, including expulsion from the party.
"That's why we sent the letter of protest because Umno and BN secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor had informed me last night that Ahmad would be contravening the Umno constitution should he take the oath of office," he said.
Rosol said the protest letter had been sent to Ahmad and a copy to the Head of the MPPR.
Since the Terengganu BN won in the general election on March 8, winning 24 of the 32 State Assembly seats and seven of the eight parliamentary seats, the state government had functioned without a Menteri Besar.
On Saturday, Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said disciplinary action could be taken against Ahmad if he were to accept the post of Terengganu Menteri Besar as he would be going against the instruction of the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who wanted Idris to remain as the MB.
Abdullah, who is also BN chairman and Umno president, had issued a letter nominating Idris as the Terengganu Menteri Besar.
Meanwhile, several supporters of Idris were seen gathering at the official residence of the Menteri Besar at Seri Iman, here, to give their support to the Jertih Assemblyman to be reappointed as the MB for a second term.
Ahmad, who was a former State Umno Youth head, has a Bachelors degree in Political Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and had held the Kijal state seat since the 1990 general election, but lost the seat in the 1999 general election to PAS candidate Mehamed Sulong by a majority of 264 seats.
Ahmad, who had previously served as Assistant District Officer in Kemaman and Setiu, Terengganu was appointed State Executive Councillor in charge of Local Government and Housing in March 2004.
Idris Jusoh no more. UPDATED: Or not. Read about the boycott here.
It is learned that the 22-BN assemblymen will send a protest note to the palace but in a joint declaration this evening, the 22 assemblymen pledged to stay away from the palace ceremony and some said they were willing to vacate their seats to force by-elections if Idris was not appointed.
Utusan Malaysia demanded a pound of flesh from Kit when he asked for DAP's ADUN to boycott the swearing-in (he has since apologised for that). Here, Howsy also demands for a pound of flesh from them.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 21 (Bernama) -- Saying that local bloggers' views cannot be ignored, Information Minister Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek intends to meet them soon to get feedbacks on nation-building.
He said his ministry was concerned over the role played by the alternative media such as the internet and websites as they have their own functions in nation-building.
"For instance, they played a role in the just-ended general election. Many middle-class voters wishing to convey a message to the government turned to the alternative media to source for information.
"They surfed the internet and I feel we need to know the role played by the bloggers," he told a news conference after meeting the media at his office.
Ahmad Shabery hopes that his intention to meet with the bloggers would not be misintepreted by anyone as his ministry wants to be the connected to everybody, including bloggers.
"Bloggers' views cannot be ignored. They are a direct channel for the people to express their views though sometimes they can be negative in the way they presented their opinions.
Ahmad Shabery said the mushrooming of various blogs of late as a medium to channel personal views had gone unnoticed.
"Everyone has the freedom to use blogs as an information distribution centre. We've overlooked their roles and failed to understand their feelings," said Ahmad Shabery, who was accompanied by his deputy Datuk Tan Lian Hoe.
Asked on the approach he would adopt to meet the large number of bloggers, the minister said he had instructed his officers to arrange for the meeting soon.
"We'll try to meet them in batches. Maybe they'll be invited via advertisements or at suitable venues. We'll try to figure out how to meet them," he said.
Ahmad Shabery also said he would continue with the ministry's existing policies as he did not intend to make any major changes in terms of leadership and on other matters.
"I want to see this ministry and all its agencies playing their role as an agent for change ... an agent of change as wanted by our leadership.
"Hence, we don't want to be seen at all that RTM is resistant to change," he said.
Ahmad Shabery said the Information Ministry and its agencies such as RTM, Broadcasting Department and Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) would continue to play a crucial role in educating the people and to mould their mindset to understand the policies and programmes of the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
"I'm aware of the dual role we've to play. We are the agent for change. We believe in the approach shown by the leadership of our prime minister who wants to see this country to be more open, with a system of governance that is more transparent and of integrity," he added.
No need advertise lar! Nobody really watches RTM anyway and RTM's advertising money source = taxpayers' money. Try SoPo Sentral.

Q: The new media has exploded. Are you going to engage the bloggers at all?
A: Well, I wish I could see them. But I don't know how many there are. Bloggers can be local and global. They can be everywhere and they emerge every day. They are important. In this explosion of information technology, everywhere is the centre of information. And people are free to express what they think. There is the good and bad about that. I wish we can sit down and talk to them and think openly what's best for the country. That's the bottom line.
Has he already contacted you two, Rocky and Jeff?

Rafidah stays on as Wanita Umno chief
KUALA LUMPUR: In her first public reaction to being dropped from the Cabinet, former International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz said Wednesday she will stay on as Wanita Umno chief.
Rafidah was excluded from the new Cabinet line-up announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on Tuesday.
Rafidah told reporters that she was not disappointed and accepted the Prime Minister's decision, but was surprised when Abdullah told her Tuesday that she would not be retained.
She said there would not have been a need for her to contest in the recent general election had Abdullah informed her of his plan beforehand.
Rafidah said the formation of the Cabinet was the Prime Minister's prerogative and she bore no grudges over the decision to not have her on board.
She was replaced by Umno vice-president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, the former Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister, as International Trade and Industry Minister.
Featuring commenters like 'Wong', 'KY', 'Haris', 'Zorro' and 'RPK'. Any resemblance of the names with real bloggers out there is purely co-incidental? ;-)
1. Ng Yen Yen, The Minister with an Aussie PR
Don't we just love this kind of blogging material by Member of Parliament Jeff Ooi?
1. Ng teamed up with Soh Chee Wen, General (Rtd) Mohamed Ngah Said and two Australians to run stock-broking business via New South Wales-based company, Indo Pacific Securities Limited, from April 1992 through May 1995.
2. Ng chose Tusmore, Adelaide, South Australia as her place of residence... living in Australia for approximately three years... and has undertaken substantial business activities concerned with the import of intellectual properties and commodities.
3. Ng was granted and admittedly held an Australian PR from 1990 through 1995.
4. Ng obtained the PR status to facilitate her frequent travelling to Australia to look after her three sons who "were in their early formative years and studying there".
5. Ng and her husband realised the need to be with their children as frequently as possible to "ensure the parental bonding within the family, as well as to ensure that they develop a strong value system and strength of character". This need stopped by 1995, coinciding with her severance of business ties in Indo Pacific Securities Limited.... (and possibly cutting ties with Soh).
6. Ng took her oath of loyalty to King and country, and oath of office as a senator in August 1993, with her PR papers materially tugged in her safe custody.
2. Muhammad Muhammad Taib, The Briefcase Millionaire 'Prestation' Minister
Brought back to fame by RPK, here's more:
Muhammad Taib has not only failed to institute legal proceedings against the Brisbane Courier-Mail, the Queensland newspaper has now come out with a new revelation that Muhammad Taib had acquired more than A$3 (RM5.2) million of property in New Zeland over the past year and registered in his wife’s name.
The Brisbane Courier Mail report, dated 28th June, 1997, under the heading "Politician’s property empire still growing", in a report by-lined Sean Parnell, states:
"The international property empire of an embattled Malaysian politician continues to grow despite concerns over how he funds the massive land purchases.
"Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib, a vice president of the ruling United Malays National Organisation, resigned as chief minister of Selangor in April citing The Courier-Mail’s reporting of his activities as a reason for his decision.
"On December 22 last year, Mr. Muhammad was detained at Brisbane International Airport as he was about to board a plane to New Zealand with the equivalent of A$1.26 million in Singapore, Malaysian and New Zealand currency in his luggage.
"Customs officials have alleged that they were not told about the cash, and Mr. Muhammad will appear in committal proceedings in Brisbane’s Federal Court on August 19 on charges of failing to declare cash above A$5000 and making a false declaration.
"The Courier-Mail has revealed Mr. Muhammad and his wife spent a week in Australia - checking on a luxury house being built on the Gold Coast and a 4500ha property in western Queensland - then flew to New Zealand for two weeks after Mr. Muhammad had appeared in court.
"The properties - registered to his wife in her maiden name of Asnan - were purchased last year for more than $3 million.
"It has been discovered more than $3 million of property has been purchased in New Zealand over the past year and registered to Ms Asnan…
"Land title searches have revealed six properties on New Zealand’s north island - in total more than 140 ha - registered to Ms Asnan.
"Documents show a 4573 sq m property in Pakurunga was purchased on June 18 last year; a 1713 sq m property in Otahuhu was bought on November 27 last year for $550,000; and four properties in Mataitai, totalling 144ha, were bought between November 29 last year and March 11 this year.
"Purchase price for the Pakurunga and Mataitai properties were not disclosed on transfer documents, although stamp duty payments indicate a total transaction for the Mataitai properties of about $2.1 million.
"The Pakurunga property was purchased from Hasan B.M.Taib of Singapore, who is Mr. Muhammad’s younger brother. Hasan purchased the property in 1990 for $520,000."

TEMERLOH, Dec 2 (Bernama) -- The mainstream media should play a role in deflecting wild allegations and slanders spread through the internet and blogs, Deputy Information Minister Datuk Zahid Hamidi said.
Ahmad Zahid said the mainstream media including the official government media should provide the correct explanation about allegations spread through the internet or blogs, especially if the allegations were targetted at the government and its policies.
"(This is because) not all the information (and slanders) spread through internet or blogs are accurate," he told reporters here last night.
"We do not want the public to be deceived by inaccurate information including those that are slanderous."
He said in the era of information and communication technology (ICT), it was impossible to curb the bloggers or to stop them from spreading lies through the internet.
He added that the public were still gullible and could be easily influenced by the inaccurate information they obtained from the internet.
Ahmad Zahid also advised bloggers to be ethnical and responsible in their writings.
"They should have ethics ... everyone have ethics and self-respect. We hope the bloggers will also have ethics and self respect," he said.
Earlier, he launched the Lanchang Carnival 2006 here. The highlights of the event include entertainment show, exhibitions put up by government agencies and food sales.

IPOH, March 16 (Bernama) -- The new Menteri Besar of Perak will be sworn in at Istana Iskandariah in the royal town of Kuala Kangsar tomorrow.
The private secretary to the Sultan of Perak, Datuk Abdul Rahim Mohamad Nor, said the Regent of Perak, Raja Dr Nazrin Shah, had consented to the swearing-in of State PAS secretary Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin as the Menteri Besar.
Mohammad Nizar, who is also Pasir Panjang assemblyman, will take his oath of office, pledge of loyalty and secrecy before Raja Nazrin at 11.30am, he said in a statement faxed to Bernama today.
The swearing-in of Mohammad Nizar, a 51-year-old engineer, scheduled for Thursday, was deferred in the absence of a consensus to form a coalition state government among DAP, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) and PAS.
On Thursday, DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang ordered all the 18 party assemblymen in Perak to boycott the swearing-in following a disagreement over the appointment of Mohammad Nizar as the 10th Menteri Besar of Perak.
Kit Siang, however, apologised and retracted his order later.
On the same day, the PKR, unhappy over the allotment of exco seats, threatened to pull out from the coalition government.
Following re-negotiations, PKR has been allocated three exco seats compared to one earlier, DAP will have six from eight initially, and PAS one, in addition to the Menteri Besar's post.
Following squabbling over exco seats, Raja Nazrin ordered all the 31 assemblymen from the three parties to submit to him individual letters of undertaking, pledging support to the formation of a coalition government and accepting the appointment of Mohammad Nizar as the Menteri Besar.
The letters were handed to Abdul Rahim to be presented to Raja Nazrin the next day.

PUTRAJAYA, March 14 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister and Umno president Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has left it to Umno Youth to take action against Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir, who is an executive committee member of the movement, for asking him to step down as the prime minister.
"I am leaving it to Datuk Seri Hishammuddin (Tun Hussein, the Umno Youth chief) to take the appropriate action (against Mukhriz), he told Bernama in an interview at Seri Perdana, the official residence of the Prime Minister here.
He said this when asked to comment on a letter written by Mukhriz and sent to the Prime Minister whereby Mukhriz had urged Abdullah to take responsibility for the Barisan Nasional's poor performance in Saturday's general election and step down as the prime minister.
"A day before he sent the letter to me, he issued a statement voicing support for me and that collective responsibility must be taken for what happened and several other statements that were seen as positive to me.
"Suddenly he has made an about turn... just a day after that he sent the letter, not only to me but also Datuk (Seri) Najib (Tun Razak) and the whole country. "To me this is not good way or approach. This is one reaction from him as a member of Umno Youth, which has already taken a decision to support me and the party leadership.
"He has also stated I and Najib should be supported to lead the party and government...this (letter asking Abduallh to step down) contradicst the stand taken by Umno and the Umno Youth movement," said Abdullah.
In KUALA LUMPUR, Hishammuddin had earlier said that if it was true that Mukhriz had indeed sent such a letter, it was done in his personal capacity.
Umno Youth stood by its earlier statement that it was solidly behind Abdullah as Umno president and Najib as deputy president, he said in a statement sent to Bernama.

PUTRAJAYA, March 14 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said Friday he handed to Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim the letter enabling his appointment as the menteri besar of Perlis and the formation of the state executive council.
"I handed the letter of appointment to Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, who is the chairman of the Perlis Barisan Nasional (BN) liaison committee, who had won (in the recent general election).
"The letter of appointment had to be presented to His Royal Highness the Raja of Perlis so that he (Shahidan) can be appointed the menteri besar and form the Perlis state government," he told Bernama in an interview at Seri Perdana, the prime minister's official residence.
Abdullah said this when asked to comment on a statement by the Raja of Perlis' private secretary Moh Adib Zakaria earlier today announcing that the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail, had given his consent for the appointment of Bintong state assemblyman Datuk Dr Md Isa Sabu as the menteri besar of Perlis.
Moh Adib said Article 39 (2) of the Laws of the Constitution of Perlis state that the ruler shall appoint a person who he thinks has the confidence of the majority of the members of the state assembly to become the menteri besar to head the state government.
"Based on this provision and after being satisfied with his ability to garner the support of the majority of the state assemblymen, His Royal Highness has consented to appoint Datuk Dr Md Isa Sabu as the Menteri Besar of Perlis effective March 14 2008," he had said.
The decision of the Raja of Perlis has raised questions among the people of the state because the BN, which won in Perlis in the general election, wanted another person to be made the menteri besar and the decision of the prime minister as the BN chairman in the government administration of a constitutional monarchy should be respected.
Asked about a statement by Shahidan today that he did not dismiss the possibility of being in opposition to the state government helmed by Md Isa, Abdullah said: "I did not hear of Shahidan saying that. I was just on the telephone with him and he did not mention anything (to that effect)."
Shahidan had also said that the appointment of Md Isa did not have the recognition of the BN government led by Abdullah.
